The project for the Land Rover Freelander seven-seat house has been temporarily suspended by the British. The goal of 200,000 sales a year remains, but will be achieved by beating other roads.
The seven-seat Freelander was originally to be preceded by a concept car, as already the name of the project (L486), while the production model should debut in 2010. Instead, as revealed by a source inside the house, “the debut has slipped, because now we have other priorities.”
This priority, to be precise, is called “Land Rover LRX” means the British manufacturer is focusing all its energies on this critical model, expected for 2011, which expects to sell 70,000 units per year. The rest, it seems, can wait.
